Kansas Alternative Finance Program
The Assistive Technology for Kansans project, coordinated by the University of Kansas, is working to expand personal financing options for the purchase of assistive technology devices and services. The Alternative Finance Program currently manages a revolving loan program as well as a loan guarantee program.
During this next year, the program will expand public awareness efforts to assure that statewide coverage and supports will be in place to expand the capacity to make loans. The five regional Assistive Technology Access Sites assist applicants in reviewing public funding options before personal funds are expended.
