Photograph of Pat White with Governor Sebelius

(9/07) Pat White received her 40-year service pin from Governor Kathleen Sebelius August 3, 2007 in Topeka at a reception held for 40-year honorees.

Pat started working for the Parsons State Hospital & Training Center in 1963 as a Clerk Steno I, and took leave in 1967 for a few years when her children were young. When she returned she took a Clerk Steno II position in the Speech & Hearing Department, and when that position was abolished due to budget cuts she went to work for the University of

Kansas at Parsons as a Receptionist and then moved up to work as an administrative assistant for several Principal Investigators, helping them prepare grants and edit manuscripts for publication. She and her husband, Fred, live on a farm and are blessed with 2 married sons and 4 grandchildren.
